Recently I had to get a life saving surgery on my Yorkie. She is just a pup and not getting this repairable surgery (liver shunt) would be cruel in my opinion. I submitted the claim and after reading the coverage I understood, however it did not cover any of the other fees because it was associated with the liver shunt that is not covered. I was very disappointed and am in search now of a pet insurance with more coverage. I have 5 pets covered through Nationwide and not receiving some assistance for the fluids, pain meds, etc., was disappointing.

My cat has been protected by Nationwide since I got her. I had a cat previously who got very sick all of a sudden, and still passed away despite paying many thousands of dollars out of pocket to try and save her life. This event was tragic and my new insurance allows me to confidently request any and all services that will help keep my companion alive for as long as possible. The claims process has been extremely fair for the 1-2 years I've had the policy. My suggestion is take it from day 1

My dog has had a rough year so far. We have been dealing with heart issues, eye issues, liver issues and arthritis. If I didn't have Embrace covering my dog's health insurance needs, I would have to make some very tough decisions. I thought, without Embrace, I would sell my car to pay for my dog's care. I have been with Embrace for 4 years. Each year, as my dog got older (she is now 10) the premiums would go up. But now that I see how much her care can cost in a mere few months, I don't regret paying these premiums one bit. And I appreciate being reimbursed in a reasonable amount of time. I'm so thankful for my Chelsea's insurance.

I had just started with Nationwide with a major medical plan for both of my Himalayan cats and my younger cat had an unexpected problem with his eye and needed surgery for a corneal ulcer. I submitted my bills and received a check within two weeks. They are a wonderful company and would recommend them to anyone...as a matter of fact, my neighbor is going to sign on for her dog.

I have had Nationwide pet insurance for the past year and a half for my two Vizslas. I have used it more than I would have liked and every transaction has been handled WAY above my expectation!! I submit my claim by email and I receive a check two weeks later PERIOD!! There has never been an issue, I have never had to appeal ANYTHING! I was a biller for the medical field for 25 years and that was a nightmare!! If regular medical insurance was as easy as pet insurance we would be a very happy country!! I would NOT recommend any other insurance carrier! Deductibles are annual not per episode...I could go on and on!!!

Nationwide has swiftly and easily provided claims payments and support for all the health needs our 8 month old Goldendoodle puppy has needed, from wellness care to puppy issues (like eating a sock.) Highly satisfied with the insurance.

We were traveling out of state this Christmas season. Izzy was showing signs of an ear infection. By having Nationwide Pet insurance the clinic got her in that day.

Nationwide always makes this very easy. Our little girl had some knee problems and we were able to take her to the vet and do everything we needed to do to get her better since Nationwide had our backs. Thanks for helping us take care of her!

I wasn't sure I knew enough about pet insurance, but when our family dog needed ongoing care then emergency treatment, I made myself a promise to learn more! When I adopted Casco, a lab mix from the south, I immediately ensure he had coverage. I didn't know where to start and offhandedly my trusted auto and home advisor said she'd heard good things about Hartville. I have been pleased with how EASY it is to scan and upload medical records (from his rescue then TWO different vets and a specialist) as well as check-in on claims and reimbursement ETAs. Casco is a healthy pup turning two, but without his Hartville family I would have been in a challenging spot with his recent TPLO (ACL) surgery. The testing, medicine, and finally surgical treatment was confusing and scary, but Hartville was there to explain, give options, and indicate what future coverage could help. I was relieved to have someone in my corner who knew this process. Additionally, you think calling insurance is going to be scary or confusing - that maybe you and your pet are just another subscriber, BUT Hartville called within a week of Casco's surgery to check-in and make sure I knew claim was done and helpful dollars were coming my way to ensure my pet's ongoing care/ needs. I'm so thankful for the experience I had and I have told/ will continue to stress the importance of having the insurance/ team in your corner!
