Rosie my yorkie got pretty sick with diarrhea for 3 days. I was extremely worried. At the vet, she had IV, blood tests, abdominal x-ray and antibiotics. My bill from the vet came to about $750. Trupanion was great in a very timely review of my claim and reimbursed me my portion exactly as per our contract. They were speedy gonzales with my claim. Within 2 days, I received confirmation that they had received my claim. By the 3rd day, I found the reimbursed amount of money deposited into my bank account. In terms of looking after Rosie, I could concentrate on doing just that and not having to worry about hefty vet bills because I know that TRUPANION ALWAYS HAS MY BACK.
I had a previous yorkie under their plan as well and I could not be more satisfied a customer as each time I have to deal with them. Trupanion folks are wonderful. They are genuine, caring, calming and they always help me sincerely and make me feel good.

Rates continue to increase and there are other pet insurance companies offering more coverage for less $. I wasnât even asked why I was canceling? Iâm in sales and Iâd be asking that question of my customer? Customer retention is not a new concept.

Great Coverageâ-Great Company!
I am very impressed with Trupanion; my only concern is when I bring Luci in because she has a foxtail in her ear, I feel you should cover the doctor diagnosing the situation. We didnât know if it was an ear infection or a foxtail and without the doctor examining her how does the doctor know what course of treatment to administer? The short version: I feel you should cover examinations.
