electronic claim submission not quite there yet
Scanned all documents as a PDF and emailed in the claim as directed. Claim was initially partially rejected because they couldn’t read the full multi-page PDF. I had verified the legibility of the scan prior to emailing, as well as opening the PDF on both MacOS and Windows systems. There was nothing wrong with the PDF. Someone at Nationwide simply did not scroll past the first two pages. I printed out the exact same PDF and sent by USPS and they paid the full claim. This company is just not ready to accept claims electronically, so save yourself time and effort and just mail the whole thing in.

Nationwide is the BEST!
I have submitted several claims, which is so easy to do with their app. There is never a hassle and I receive my reimbursement in a very timely manner. Recently I had an emergency with my female who was whelping. She had to have a C-section which was quite costly. I was so relieved to know I had my insurance. Thank you Nationwide!

So nice not having a single worry
My cat Lilly started throwing up on a Saturday, and threw up about 8 times in a couple hours before we decided to take her to the emergency vet that night. They gave her fluids and an anti-nausea injection to see if things would pass, and she was good for about 48 hours. I came home on lunch from work that Tuesday and she was looking ill and not moving a lot and looking like she was going to throw up more, which she already had done that as well. We went back to the emergency vet and they did x-rays and found a foreign body in her stomach and suggested hospitalizing her overnight and giving her some GI drugs to help whatever it was to pass since it was unclear on the x-ray what it was. I called the next morning and they told me it had passed into her colon and the next time she used the litter box it should be gone! We were so happy. Throughout all of this though, it was so nice not having a single worry about the cost of what was happening and just being able to get her the best care at the emergency vet thanks to Pets Best Health Insurance. I have some costly bills in the past from before I had pet insurance and while it is always a worry when something is wrong with your pet, Pets Best takes the financial burden worries away and for that I am forever grateful to your company. Thank you so much!

A mostly good experience
Would prefer not to pay the full amount at time of service. Previously, the claim was calculated before I left the vet's office and I paid only what I owed after the claim.

Best pet insurance, hands down
I have been a client of Nationwide Pet Insurance for over 10 years. I've had both my french bulldogs covered under their various policies. In the last few years, I've had the whole pet with wellness rider plan. It covers 90% of all our expenses after our deductible. It is expensive (and this last years rate hike was extreme) but I decided to stay with the same coverage. The coverages give me a real piece of mind. If next years price increase jumps nearly $100 again I will look into switching companies. So Nationwide please take this into consideration. While I understand that insurance costs reflect a multitude of factors - at the rates, I am now paying - the least insurance companies should do is try and get the costs we pay per year deducted on our taxes. Use your influence and lobbyists; our animals are a part of our family.

Healthy paws rocks!
My dog ended up having to have a tplo surgery. The claims processing was done so quickly I had the money in my account within 3 days. Filing the claim was extremely easy and quick. They made a very stressful time easier. After his surgery, he had some some complications and they process post claims quickly as well.
