Trupanion is the BEST - Hands Down!!
We rescued two Golden puppies from a backyard breeder - both of them have had health issues since the outset. We purchased the insurance when the pups were 3 mos old - they're 5 now. Trupanion and the staff there have ALWAYS been extremely helpful and very good about working with us to get our boys the care they need. The claim process is simple and efficient, claims are settled very quickly. They're fair and are not looking for a way to deny a claim!! I honestly love them. I've sent numerous people to them for their pet insurance...even my vet recommends them now!!

Safety Net
I look at this insurance for my two rescued pittbulls, as a safety net, so far so good, I have an awesome vet, been with the vet 14 years- still going strong, they like this insurance, the fact that they get called about visits, they have reviewed my policy, it is in both of my dogs charts, I do recommend this insurance, I wish the wellness amount was more- you have to factor in yearly physical, flea/worm meds, dental chews, chewies-for two babies:

Routine services were covered.
I recently submitted my dog Charley's bill for routine annual veterinarian services and was glad to receive prompt reimbursement. I have to admit knowing that these services were covered by his policy was an incentive for me to get him to the vet when his shots were due.

Fast-------------fast------------and fast---------
The Embrace team were fast but also thero, quick response and precise. I would recomend the company with the same staff as a number 1 pet insurance from my experiance with four differnt ones.

Fast and Friendly!
I have always carried ASPCA Pet Insurance on my dogs ever since I learned bout their insurance. This gives me peace of mind for my dear "children".
I recently filed a claim after taking my 13 year old female lab mix (April) to the vet. The outcome was good for my little girl. Thank goodness!
But your question is: How was the insurance coverage?
I filed the claim and received reimbursement within a couple of weeks. The process was quick and efficient. I simply scanned in a copy of my vet's invoice and clicked a few buttons to file the claim. It was very easy.
Afterwards I was very impressed that a kind staff member from ASPCA Pet Insurance called to check on April. He was very sincere and kind. I do not think he was just "doing his job" and fulfilling a duty. I was very pleased.
I do not make a lot of endorsements, however I recommend ASPCA Pet Insurance to my friends. I hope you find this insurance to meet your needs as well.
Thank you!

Timely and consistent
I have had this insurance for my Great Dane for over 5 years. Fortunately I have not had to file many claims over that period of time. However, for those larger vet/specialty bills, ASPCA insurance has processed and paid the claims quickly and consistently. I feel comfortable with the the level of protection they provide in helping offset the cost of my dog's medical visits.

Buyer Beware
As I saw on other reviews, Embrace tries to find anything so that they can exclude a future claim. My dog's records say her weight is ideal at 18 pounds for a schnauzer/poodle mix. She is awesome and looks awesome! But due to a mistake when Banfield read her past record as 21 pounds, they are excluding her for "overweight." She was never 21 pounds, proven when we weighed her immediately upon taking her from the shelter, which she looked so very skinny then. A vet weighed her too said ideal weight, and just one month later on her record she weighed in at 18 pounds, and on the second record the Banfield vet wrote overweight once because he thought the weight from the shelter was correct, when it was proven to be incorrect. Of course Embrace will exclude her from any future issues related to the overweight dog theory. I say theory because anyone knows by looking at her weight and the exam that Embrace required that she is normal (ideal) weight at 18 pounds. They also excluded her for protein in her urine and all related conditions, when the most sensitive test showed she had perfectly functioning kidneys, and was free and clear of this on her last test--the vet saying it may be related to being outside in the heat and having her test in the afternoon, needing more water which the vet did not give her in the last office. It's right in the record. Then they say this sweet dog suffers from aggression even though no behaviorist officially diagnosed her as such. The dog, like any dog given away by her parents, was frightened yes when I first got her. But she walks up to people when she is out in the park, greets them, sits, turns for them to pet her. I talked to the behaviorist about things she protests like grinding of the paws, and she said aggression is far too often over diagnosed. She was not aggressive. Then embrace asked me to get a letter from the doctor to prove what they interpreted is wrong. I have had to work harder than ever previously getting her perfect exam done that they required, including orthopedic exam, and refused to do any more work for them. Besides I saw a review that they don't go by the letters anyway. This insurance waiting period says a certain time, but it is a year, and although the vet says the kidneys and urine are perfectly healthy, embrace makes their own assessment, saying in the future if she ever gets this, they will not pay. Buyer Beware!
