The Best in the Worst of Times
All pet parents know they want to give the best lives to their pet children. I am no exception. Adopting two cats (Mia and Bailey) who did not have the best beginnings was stressful but also the best thing I've ever done. That said, without Nationwide, I would have had to make different decisions due to the exorbitant costs of surgery and the like. Fortunately, I have been able to take care Mia and Bailey's physical needs because of Nationwide. Claims are processed quickly and never once have my claims been denied. Nationwide gives me great peace of mind.

Worth it to be cautious and insured.
We have joined Nationwide for two yers now. The first year of our pet's life he fell ill with Pancreatitis. My goodness, the costs involved and the care he needed! Thanks to Nationwide we were able to care for our pet and know that Nationwide had our back! Since then, it has also helped greatly with the annual physical and vaccinations.

So Happy!
I had an ear issue with my girl that spiraled out of control, ended up needing surgery and $700 later, i sent in my claim and 2 weeks later had a check. It was so easy dealing with them. Thank You!

Amazing Coverage - Helpful Staff - Quick Turnaround
I signed up for Nationwide Pet Insurance for my two lab mixes not even a year ago. I have been so, so, so happy about my decision since. Between the two dogs, I've had at least two dozen claims - each of them processed quickly and almost always in full. One of the things that made Nationwide stand out to me was their coverage of hip dysplasia, acl tears, and even flea and tick med. It was the most comprehensive coverage I've found, and the only exceptions I've had on my claims so far have been for taxes and rabies tags.
I was hesitant to go with Nationwide as VPI (the former company) didn't have the best reviews - but I'm glad I did! I'm constantly referring my friends to check it out - such a great product!

Nationwide is a must-have product for pet lovers
Our cat recently began to have seizures, and then developed a very rare reaction to the seizure medications that caused his immune system to collapse. He became septic and was hospitalized. Between the cost of getting him to a veterinary neurologist to diagnose the seizures (which included an MRI) and the cost of his multiple hospital stays, his vet bills amounted to over $8,000. I have health problems myself and can only work part time, and my husband is an x-ray tech, so we don't have that kind of money. We put his bills on Care Credit and hoped that Nationwide would reimburse us promptly because even the minimum monthly payments would have been a financial burden for us. As promised, Nationwide reimbursed us 90% of the vet bills, direct deposited into our bank account within two weeks of us emailing them the claims. They never tried to deny any part of the claims or request mountains of paperwork and vet records before they processed the claim. Having this coverage saved us financially and I tell everyone who has pets about it.

Annual Premium Doubled - No reason!
Signed up for FIGO and had a fairly simple policy. Had no claims, or anything else affecting the insurance for my cat, but they tried to sneak an increase of DOUBLE my annual premium. Dropped! Shop elsewhere folks!
Customer service was slow and not personable AT ALL. It took them weeks to get an answer regarding my premium increase. Awful service.
