We learned the hard way several years ago when we considered it for Matty, our Dalmatian, but failed to follow through before she was diagnosed with the first of her 3 cancers. Fortunately, she overcame all of them over an 8-year period at a cost of more than $30,000.00. Obviously, this proved to be a very expensive lesson. We will never have another pet without coverage! It’s nice to have pet insurance for their wellness visits, but it certainly gives you peace of mind when there is a more serious medical issue. My Maggie was diagnosed with kidney disease. Rather than take her to a local internal medicine vet I sought out a very well-respected kidney (nephrology) specialist. It was well worth the three-hour drive to find out she has low-grade kidney disease and that it was caught early. It cannot be cured, but hopefully can be controlled. And Embrace covered the majority of the claim.

We were initially skeptical that pet insurance would even be worth it for our beagle, but when she needed to have emergency bladder surgery to remove stones, we were glad we had it. Claim was extremely easy and took about 5 minutes to fill out. We never felt like they were trying to short change us. We'll definitely remain loyal customers.

Trupanion has been so supportive during the process of a very difficult time with me regarding Ashes. It is still difficult to comprehend that my baby is longer with me. Every time I called they were always so understanding and kind even with all the tears that were pouring out of my eyes. Today as I got home I received a card from Trupanion send Ashes well wishes which means so much unfortunately the outcome was grave. Thank you so much from me and from ASHES (from the rainbow bridge). I miss him so RIP

Overall, I’m quite pleased with Embrace. Unfortunately, due to my dog’s illness, I use Embrace frequently. Every now and again my claims are marked as duplicates and I have to call to resolve it. It’s usually taken care of very quickly.

The level of customer service & compassion is amazing. Professional, caring and accurate answers. The quickness of processing my claim was really wonderful. It makes all the difference in keeping our dog alive and comfortable. Giving us hope.

I have a 3# Yorkie, Hope. She is covered for my peace of mind. Knowing she's perfectly healthy is great, but knowing I'm covered if something should happen is equally important.
