I am very sad to see the regular increases in the costs of your pet insurance.
I am very sad to see the regular increases in the costs of your pet insurance. As my dogs are getting older and need it the most, the costs are becoming difficult on a fixed income. 3 of my 4 insured dogs have barely used the insurance and yet the premium continues to increase. Very disappointed and will be looking at other insurance for any future pets.

Very caring, I was worried about the warning the doctor gave me, but I’m happy with the outcome.
The company has been wonderful.

Has Paid for Itself in 10 months, Easy, Transparent Process
Pet's Best Insurance has so far been everything it claimed to be: 1) they have paid for all of our claims thatt our policy indicated they would (we had to reach our deductible and get out of relatively short waiting periods first). 2) After that they have paid 90% of everything we submitted, even when the most costly treatment was due to the dog eating something he shouldn't have (I was really afraid of them denying a claim if they thought the situation could have been prevented with more supervision or something like that). 3) The claims process was really easy - I submit a picture of the itemized invoice and a very brief description and basically within a week I'd get an email with an Explanation and soon thereafter a direct deposit into my bank account.
Having Pet's Best has brought so much peace of mind knowing that after a certain point our boy's expenses are going to be covered and I don't have to ask myself whether it's worth going to the vet or not. We can just go without fear of the costs.

Truly the BEST pet insurance company
We insured my labradoodle when he was a puppy worrying that he would eat something inedible or have an accident that needed surgery. We are so happy that we did. The premiums were very reasonable. During the 8 years, our doodle had some minor claims, but they were always paid.
Sadly, our labradoodle passed away this month but had to take a battery of tests, ultrasound, blood, fecal... And sadly, he didn’t survive. Petsbest was there for us all the way. They paid our claims promptly and fairly
Nothing will ever bring our Toby back but it was nice to know that Petsbest helped us out with the bills. They are truly the best pet insurance. We would highly recommend them.

Good luck getting anything covered with their convoluted, long claims process.
After much research, we chose Figo as our insurance company. They state that any acute condition that has been successfully treated and resolved is coverable under their policy. Our dog has had some stomach problems - he occasionally had had Gastroenteritis (an acute, curable condition). Shortly after we obtained the policy, he had an episode if Gastroenteritis with loose stools and stomach tenderness. Our claims were left to languish for weeks. Only when I called to inquire, did they inform me that they needed more medical documentation from a previous vet. The documents had been in my pet cloud the whole time, but had been "overlooked". Repeat cycle, with them asking for more documentation from current vet three times, but not being specific enough so I could actually submit what they needed to get my claim processed and no communication until I called to ask why the claim wasn't being paid. Finally, after 3 cycles of this, I was informed that stomach issues would never be covered because his sporadic acute Gastroenteritis was a "pre-existing condition". All of the employees I talked to were pleasant a d helpful, but the claims process and denial of anything that your pet has ever had an issue with makes it worthless fir all but young pets. I have also been hearing about outrageous price increases at policy renewal. Garbage coverage.

Manipulate condition categorization so you never meet your deductible
6 months after getting my dog and coverage simultaneously, I am cancelling Trupanion in tears. They have nitpicked simple problems like "ear infection" into so many different categories - facial fold dermatitis, yeast infection, otitis externa - to make sure that I never meet my deductible and they never pay out. Moreover, one claim for an ear infection that was categorized as otitis externa and approved (but less than the deductible threshold), but when it spread to the other ear the next week and we had to go in again, the claim was denied - for literally the same condition and treatment!
Moreover, they will tie everything back to some preexisting condition to get out of paying it - somehow a case of pinkeye was denied as a result of a cut under his chin before I started the plan. My monthly premiums are $163 with a $200 deductible. I have yet to see any cost savings from this plan. I wish I had gone with a different one to begin with because no this will all count as pre-existing conditions, but luckily my dog hasn't had any serious illnesses, so it's better to get out now. I'd hate to see how the per-condition deductible is applied if my dog had some sweeping illness with lots of side effects, like cancer.
Moreover, claims take months to get processed and involved me personally them down with hours on the phone with Trupanion and my vet to ensure they get the information.
