Good Company
I was initially with Petsbest and switched to TRUPANION because they seem like a better company, meaning if my pet had an accident they insure all problems. My other insurance company would insure a broken bone, but not torn ligaments. Suffice to say, I cancelled Petsbest and chose this insurance company. I think a lot of negative reviews are written by people who do not or refuse to understand that PRE EXISTING health issues are not covered. If you have a pet who is 100% healthy at time of signup, you have no claim issues. Overall I’m happy with TRUPANION.

So glad I moved from H****hy P**s to Nationwide
I don't think this is the first time I've left a review. With Nationwide Pet Insurance I have an idea of what my out-of-pocket cost are. With my previous insurance company, I was never sure what was not included in the plan, and when I call and ask I don't get a straight answer.
With Nationwide, the plan is simple to understand. I've gone as far as letting people, at the vet's office's waiting room about Nationwide..

Lifesaver
So when we got our dog we knew we better get insurance because of how active we wanted to be with him, and I'm so glad we did! One night that we were out of town and he was with friends he was chewing on his kennel and broke a canine tooth. We didn't want to have the tooth extracted so we looked into root canal with a cap. If we didn't have insurance we would not have been able to afford it. So we got the surgery and had to borrow the money until it went through claims, which took a Lil while because of the cost I'm sure. But then we got the 90% reimbursement! They were so easy to work with and I'm so happy they cover more than just accidental! Thank you nationwide!

I'm happy and so is Ozzie and Oscar
Both of my dogs have been covered by Nationwide for several years. Nationwide has always paid the claims quickly. Most of the time the claims are for routine/preventative care. However, one day I came home from work and found Ozzie acting very strange. He was twisting and stretching out his body. I thought he may have some sort of blockage in his belly. I rushed him to the emergency room...it was a muscle strain in his back. No blockage. That's the first time I have had to use an ER. I was happy to have the insurance. The situation could have been worse.

Very Pleasantly Surprised With How Easy & Pain Free Figo's Claims Process Is
I had been pondering health insurance for my two dogs, Frank & Pogo, for some time and spent literally MONTHS researching policies and checking reviews and comparing coverages. I decided on Figo and crossed my fingers that it could be as easy as the ads implied. To date, I have had to submit two claims for Frank (thankfully, none for his brother to date) and both times, the process has been simple and straight forward. The first claim, January of this year, was right around the time Figo experienced some growth and the claims process was moving a little slower than normal BUT Figo kept me updated from the time I submitted the claim until it was closed and communicated that they were in the process of expanding to lessen the time it took for claims to be reviewed. The truth of that was borne out on my next claim which I just submitted on 04/28/18...I actually got my payment for that claim TODAY. That was super fast & hassle free. Figo has excellent coverage options, including a 100% reimbursement plan which I opted for. The rates are reasonable, the app & website are FANTASTIC. I particularly liked that Figo does NOT offer a "wellness package" as I wasn't interested in coverage for routine visits but more for out of the ordinary expenses for my guys. This has turned out to be the perfect policy and perfect insurer for us. I have recommended Figo to everyone I know with pets and I wrote my vet an email last night and asked her to share my experience with other clients who were looking for insurance for their own pets (her office is a big proponent of pet insurance and have lots of info available on lots of plans but I thought some real life experience with Figo would be helpful to other pet parents.)

I would recommend you to anyone that has a pet
I adopted 2 dogs about five years ago and decided to take your Insurance for both of them . I had recently lost my dog that I also had Insurance on with your Company. I only have good things to say. Insurance might seem expensive but if you need it you will be glad that have it., I didn't expect my five year old dog, Pumpkin, to loose control of her legs and need back surgery. The surgery cost of $5000 and everything was covered except $400. I can not say how grateful I was to know that I did not need to worry about paying Vet bills and could concentrate on getting Pumpkin well. Way to go Nationwide.,
