Insurance on my puppy was one of the best things I could have done. You never know when something could happen to your best friend and when it does you do not want to worry about how to pay for it. In our case we found out he had a liver shunt and were able to get a surgical correction. It’s been a heart breaking first start to his life but insurance was there to help us get the best care for him and we are hopeful he will be able to live a long happy life. I will be recommending this to all my friends and the breeder of Uli is also now extolling the virtues of insurance and Trupanion to all her owners and to her colleagues. I am very happy with all of my interactions with the Embrace team so far. When I was looking for Health Insurance for my newly adopted puppy I had a lot of questions. The woman who took my call was great. She started and finished the process. She had answers to all of my questions, and more importantly was able to explain things in a way that actually made sense to me. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, because she really sold me my insurance. They have every option you could possibly want for your pet, and I really think the prices are very reasonable. Our dog injured his eye and although it appeared small, it turned out to be a very expensive ordeal to get it healed. It was so nice to be able to complete the form online and have everything except the deductible covered. Thanks.

Our adopted pup went for his annual check-up at one year and was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia. The vet said wait until the winter was over, but that he would need both hips replaced and referred me to an orthopedic vet. So, winter was long, but went to the ortho vet and he watched my dog play, walk, examined him and said he wants to treat the dog and not the xrays! He said the xrays were some of the worst he had seen! His xrays show him to be disabled, but my boy has developed his own scar tissue, so no surgery for now! I was so glad Nationwide was there to help in case we needed them and we are happily living with our disabled boy who does not appear to be in pain as he has grown in to his disability.
