You can never start too early
My puppy was not quite 4 months at the time of her accident. She had been sick the month before, and after a $2000 vet bill for two days I decided I needed to get pet insurance so this does not happen again. I had just paid my second monthly premium when Teagan broke her left femur. It needed immediate orthopedic surgery. The bill cam to over $5000. She now has to be kept calm and use her leg as little as possible for another 7 weeks. But I am grateful that that worry is not compounded with how we will pay for the cost of her bills. Trupanion was easy and fast with our reimbursement. They paid out as much money as I will pay in premiums for the next seven years.... that is amazing.
