They came through when I needed them

I got my cat from a rescue shelter three years ago. She was looked at and got her shots etc. Her first year she was shy then her second she adapted and became curious and playful and loving. This third year I noticed a decrease in her activity and she was irritable at times swiping and yeowling. I am unable to get out to a vet and had to use the only one in my area that comes out to pick up the cat. I NEVER pick up my cat as she does not like that so I also could not get her in a carrier. The Cat Clinic took care of all that. They did a marvelous job with Suzie BUT the cost was prohibitive at 2700 dollars. You see she had gum and tooth problems and needed her teeth removed. She had four hours of surgery poor girl. Well I paid the vet and took a chance filing with Trupanion. I was not sure if any of Suzie's procedures would be covered but was amazed, pleased and thrilled to find Trupanion covered almost 1700 dollars worth of her vet bill. They were pleasant to deal with and very efficient. NO hassles at all. I would recommend Trupanion to anyone with a pet. It was certainly worth it to me and I will be sticking with them for sure. Female Urinary Tract Infection - Suspect Diabetes

We caught her peeing on the christmas tree.. she wasn't playing like she used to. We took her into a Emergancy hospital on a weekend. We had no money. If it wasn't for Trupanion insurance we signed her up for just a month previous this entire endeavor would have costed over 700$. After our deductible we paid 200$. I'm glad we didn't have to make any hard decisions about her health! all tests came back clear and shes a happy playing kitty again. Best part is if this happens again.. shes still covered and we don't have to pay the deductible again. Also now our vet is signed up to only charge us 10% and re-imburse themselves on our behalf thru Trupanion. Very Happy.

Extremely happy with the response to this claim

This is the first time we have used pet insurance, at the recommendation of our vet, and we were very happy with the quick response to the first claim we made. It was a pleasant surprise and we have already recommended Trupanion to our pet owner friends.

zinc toxicity poisoning

Took Casper to the Vet on Saturday morning as he had swallowed a penny. I did not know they were toxic to dogs, fortunately he threw it up. He was very ill. The Vet did blood work, xrays and examined him. The total bill was almost $500.00. They claim was faxed to Trupanion and the next day (Sunday) the claim was processed to be paid. And all I had to pay out of pocket was approximately $100.00. I have used Trupanion twice with Casper as he was a puppy. I am very pleased with the service I receive and I am also very pleased that my Vet recommended Trupanion. I will recommend Trupanion to everyone. Hats off to Trupanion. They are awesome.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
