Fantastic - Couldn't be happier

This was the first claim I ever submitted so Trupanion required my cat's entire medical record from all (3) veterinarians who had ever seen her. Her emergency treatment for ingesting my prescription medication was on March 15 and the reimbursement check from Trupanion was in my checking account on March 25. My medical insurance should be so fast!!!

I liked that Trupanion kept it efficient & simple

Trupanion processed the claim from my veterinarian quickly and kept me apprised of everything in real time via email. There were quite a few bills to submit and they did a great job with all that paperwork. I liked the email for each different bill that had been submitted- it showed how much was covered, how much was not, what the remaining deductible was, and what my insurance check would be. They kept it simple but gave all the information I needed. I had another pet insurance company before this one several years ago, and I much prefer the way that Trupanion procssed my claim. Definitely recommend Trupanion!

I love Trupanion!

This is a wonderful company to have pet insurance with. I am so happy and pleased to have them on my side and my baby’s (my dog Hannah) side, knowing they are there to help me take good care of Hannah. I know she will get the best of care because of Trupanion because they pay 90% of my vet bill, which takes the financial dilemma off my mind. They are so fast at reimbursing me and it just makes me rest easier because of their fast responses. They are professional, compassionate, and caring and I know they do care a great deal about pet owners and their babies, which is important for a pet owner. I looked into other pet insurance companies and found Trupanion policies are better than the other insurance companies I researched. Twice Hannah has had to be rushed to the vet, her vet billed was rather high, and they were right there for me financially. They are the best as far as I am concerned. Thank you Trupanion

Very good.

Truupanion did a very good job from start to finish. They were prompt, and efficient. I wish my own health care provider was this good.For the sake of keeping animal population down, I would like to see spay and neutering covered.

Speedy turn around

Fast claim turn around (as long as you submit claim form, itemized receipt from vet and copy of vet's record for your visit). Cost of premium is higher that VIP but coverage is much better, so I think it is worth it.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
