Quick

Trupanion works very quickly when it comes to helping with the care needed for a petty vet does direct billing with them but when I had to go to a different vet for an emergency we got reimbursement checks with in a few days of filing. Also we were able to know rather quickly (within twenty minutes) that we could get get all the diagnostic tests needed to help treat my pup instead of having to figure out which of the most important tests to get done.

Trupanion comes through again!

Its been a very difficult 3 months for us and our dog. Progress is slow, but we are making it. Trupanion has been with us every step of the way! They do they say the will and the reimbursement come before the credit card bill! I would give them an 11 if I could.

Pretty good

My dog has always been really healthy until a few months ago. After years of mostly basic health care, vaccinations, and check ups, my dog became very ill. She has required overnight stays, expensive tests and medications. I picked the middle plan so had a somewhat high deductible. But after meeting if, processing has been amazingly quick and simple. I wish it covered things like ambulance transportation if deemed medically necessary. This was a big expense, and had to be paid out of pocket.

Excellent - Much Recommended

The inclusions and updates of the policy are excellent. We receive notifcation of payment within 48 hrs of the vet submission and payment before our credit card statement is received - with no hassles what so ever! It has been a god send given that your dog has had bone cancer and the treatments have been very costly. It means no hesitation in providing her witht eh care she needed and she is now a 2 yr plus survivor - beating the odds (typically only 20% of all dogs survive 2yrs). Thanks to Trupanion.

Total Satisfaction with Trupanion

Our mixed terrier, Herman, was diagnosed with a liver disorder during labs conducted the day before a scheduled neutering. Since that diagnosis and the treatments, including a liver biopsy that followed, we, including our lead veterinarian, have been absolutely amazed at not only the quick action by Trupanion representatives with regard to our claims, but with their genuine concern for Herman's well being and recovery. Both we, as Herman's "parents", and our veterinarians received almost immediate responses to our every question. Herman's doctors stated that they would recommend Trupanion to their clients. We certainly would not hesitate recommending Trupanion as the very best pet insurer around (in fact we already have done so on many occasions).

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
