A loving rescue cat named Zorro
I rescued a 2 year old cat July 2018. He had parasites, bacteria & bile in his gallbladder. Trupanion has supported me since I adopted Zorro. Without their help I would not been able to keep him. He is a loving cat that loves people, walks on a harness & car rides

I tell people every chance I get how amazing Trupanion has been. I've been unfortunate to have a dog with a lot of ongoing health issues and Trupanion has been a lifesaver in so many ways. Ultimately, Trupanion has provided the support that I was hoping to find in a pet insurance company. Truly, you have been amazing and I can't thank you enough for being a company that I respect and value for providing an essential service for me, specifically, and pet owners in general.
Most importantly is that you have you have lived up to all of your promises. Ethics matter to me. Trust matters. You have earned my loyalty because of how you operate as an organization and how you have treated me as a customer.

I'm not someone who leaves reviews but this is an exception because I'm thankful every day for having chosen Trupanion for my dog Albee who has gone through a lot in his short life. Words can't express the depth of my gratitude.I don't say these things lightly. I genuinely feel the gratitude as choosing Trupanion has been one of the best decisions of my life. Truly. This is not hyperbole.
If you care about your pet, get Trupanion, and make sure you get the extended coverage for rehabilitation. My dog has been requiring physical therapy for the past 11 months, and continuing forward. Most people don't think about what could happen. Luckily, I'm someone who plans for the worst case scenario. Don't gamble with the health of your pet. I cant stress these points enough. Get Trupanion or don't get a pet. It's that simple. It's irresponsible to not be able to provide the treatment your pet needs as things come up --- and they will.
It bothers me when people adopt a pet and don't provide the level of care and support they need. Trupanion has been there every step of the way, allowing me to make the best decisions for my dog. Thankfully I've never had to compromise the health of Albee, my little boy.
Thank-you so much. And please, if you're searching for a pet insurance company --- get Trupanion. Look no further. This is a 100% honest review from a customer who has had to deal with a puppy with many health challenges. I'm the biggest skeptic but the very least I can do is to share my genuine gratitude for Trupanion, hoping that someone like you will be motivated to make the best decision for their pet.
Raising a pet is a big responsibility and needs to be taken as such. Trupanion does not have payout limits for different ailments. This is just one of the key things you need to look at. Assume the worst because although it may not happen to you, if it does, you will be as grateful as I am that you choose Trupanion.
I should be a spokesperson for the company because it's effortless for me to share my truth with people. It's easy, because its all true. I hope you never have to experience the stress and pain of watching your pet struggle. I sincerely hope you have the healthiest pet that has ever lived. I do. But life is unpredictable, things go wrong, pets get older, accidents happen. Trupanion has been a godsend for me and Albee.

Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
