As advertised, THANK YOU TRUPANION!!

For many that are contemplating pet insurance for your beloved 4 legged family member, please read this. I've been with Trupaion for over a year now and spent about 20 hours researching pet insuarance plans/companies before choosing Trupanion. As with many things, we don't truly know if a person or company with follow through with what they say until it's time to put those words into action. My young 2 yr old cat(Mickey) had an accident which dislocated his tail. As is the case with most accidents or illness, it happened after my Vet of 10 years closed for the day.Trupanion covered 90% of the Vet bill, less the evaluation fee. The total bill was just shy of 3900.00.I received reimbursement of just shy of 3200.00. To my knowledge, Trupainon is the ONLY pet insurance company that reimburses 90% of costs that are after hours. Most might cover 70%. 20% is a huge amount as after hours costs are exceedingly higher than our normal Vet costs. When choosing an insurance company, this was a key reason for choosing Trupanion. I received my reimbursement within 30 days of sending in my first claim. Certainly no complaints there!! I never got the song and dance from Trupaion. My file on Mickey was up to date which makes the process allot easier.Each person I spoke with through this challenging time was genuinely concerned for the health of my Cat. 2nd TPLO Surgery Completed

I would like to thank Trupanion again for the help they have provided to my loving pet, Isla, and I as we went through Isla's 2nd TPLO surgery within 5 weeks. We are 1 1/2 weeks post 2nd surgery now and she is recovering amazingly well, with hardly a noticeable limp! Isla is a 3 year old lab retriever cross and we can now look forward to many more active years together. Elk Lake Vet hospital where she had both surgery performed gave high compliments to Trupanion as being one of the best companies to deal with. Without Trupanion this would have been an even more traumatic situation to deal with; however, with their support it has been as painless for Isla and I as possible. Thank you so much Trupanion, again!!! Every pet owner should have Trupanion pet insurance!!!!

You are the BEST!

You people are the BEST! Our English bulldog tore her right rear ACL and you folks covered it (after deductible). As a matter of fact, when we took our bully to her orthopedist, he noticed that we were carrying a Trupanion folder and he said thank heaven we had your service because it's simply the best service out there. We could not have afforded it otherwise. Since then, I've told every pet owner I know to subscribe and invest in your product. We could not be happier. Thank you thank you for your help and support. Speedy Reimbursement

Submitting Trupanion claims is easy and the review process and reimbursement is quick and efficient. The turnaround for claims is a matter of days, and often reimbursement is within the week. Can't beat that!

Fantastic Insurance

We signed up for Trupanion because we just got a new puppy for our 3 year old Golden Retriever to play with and our vet said this was great insurance. We thought it would be a good idea since we didn't want to eventually have to make a very tough decision about our pet's health over medical bills. Well, little did we know, 2 months after we signed up my 3 year old Golden Retriever was diagnosed with terminal Lymphoma. We were devestated. We never thought we would be faced with this in such a young dog. It was only a few weeks after our 30 day waiting period was over and we thought Trupanion may not pay the claim. Not only did they pay 90% on most of the $1500 of bills we ran up with our primary vet, they also paid for the chemotherapy treatments, over $850, a few days later. What is a very difficult time for our family was made a little easier knowing that Trupanion was right by our side to help with the medical bills. They have no lifetime or per incident caps, you can use any vet you like and they pay based on what the vet bills you, not based on a pre-determined schedule. On top of everything else they paid both claims within a couple of days. I can't get that with my own health insurance. They have a customer for life. As a result we are going to add our cat to the policy as well. We would highly recommend them to anyone who wants some peace of mind especially when a life threatening illness strikes. Monthly Cost

Your monthly premium is determined by multiple factors including your pet’s species, gender, breed, age, zip code, and the deductible amount you choose if your policy allows.

Coverage

Depending on your plan, the Trupanion policy pays up to 100% of your vet bill for all eligible expenses. There are unlimited payout limits, always and Trupanion will never increase or cancel your coverage because of claims you submit. Coverage includes new accidents and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions, diagnostic tests, hospital stays, and much more. Trupanion prides itself on paying out more on the dollar than any other provider and has paid out nearly $2 billion in claims to date.

Payout Limits

The Trupanion policy* has no payout limits, so whether your pet needs one quick visit or a lifetime of care, your coverage won’t quit. That can mean a big difference if your pet develops a chronic condition requiring extended care like allergies, diabetes, or even cancer.

Deductible

If your Trupanion policy has a deductible, you can customize it to fit your budget. You can choose from $50 to $1,000 in increments of $5, or choose to have no deductible at all. Trupanion deductibles are per-condition and good for the life of your pet. That means no annual resets-once a deductible is met, you never have to pay the deductible for that condition again.

Age Limits

All new pets can enroll from birth until their 14th birthday. Once your pet is enrolled, they can be enrolled for life

Waiting Period

Waiting periods vary by state. Please see your states policy for full coverage details. However, other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
