Trupanion insurance is "top dog" in my mind!

Our 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd, Brogan, would not be here if it weren't for Trupaniion Insurance. He has an oral sarcoma of which the prognosis is poor. We were told this past February that he has less than a year to live. We were hopeful that Cyberknife laser radiation would at least temporarily remove the tumor but he would be left with a hole in the hard palate, so he was not a candidate for the procedure. With the tumor growing rapidly, he began having difficulty eating and drinking as well as snorting with nasal difficulty. Trupanion Insurance with its excellent coverage (90% after deductible for this illness) has given Brogan his quality of life. Because of them, we can afford to pay for palliative radiation and chemo, without much side effect to our wonderful dog. Even though we have a limited time with him, you would never know he has this terminal cancer as he is just as playful, lovable, and nourished d/t an excellent appetite despite the treatment he is receiving. THANK YOU TRUPANION for giving us this precious time with our dog Brogan!!!! God Bless all of you at Trupanion! I tell everyone about Trupanion - I'm one of your biggest fans!

Trupanion - great service and support

Appa was a Great Pyrenees mix that we adopted from a rescue. In the one year we had him, he tore his ACL and was diagnosed with bone cancer. In total Appa’s medical care cost about $15k while he was in our care and Trupanion covered 90% of that amount without complaint or hassle. The only thing they don't cover is examinations, which is kind of a pain, but honestly the exam was usually $60-100 and the actual medical service was several thousand so not a huge deal. I would recommend Trupanion to any pet owner.

Outstanding Service From the Team @ TRUPANION

On my search for an insurance provider who would be there for me if any unforeseen illness or accident happened to my Chocolate Lab I found TRUPANION. I called the front desk staff at multiple vet hospitals in my area and asked the staff members who check in the patients and process payments and all 3 without a doubt recommended TRUPANION. The customer service and staff are outstanding, kind and patient. The initial paperwork and process took a while due to having to check with our local vets for any pre-existing diagnosis, but once all of our dogs records were in their hands every claim for reimbursements has gone smoothly and quickly. I also like the ability to change your deductible and monthly payments any time you choose to manage your pups needs.

could not be happier with claim process

Our Dog was bitten by snake and needed very expensive treatment and overnight care .The forms were faxed through to the emergency vet. Two days after I submitted the claim I received mail to say 90% of my claim was being paid .

Best Possible Service

I insured my baby, a 13 1/2 year old Pomeranian, just in time. He started having issues within a few months of signing up, including heart and stomach problems. Service is unbelievably fast and as advertised. No hassles, 90% coverage, which is fantastic, responses the same day when I've scanned and emailed documents, and checks arriving a few days after that. Once a condition is established, form to fill out is incredibly brief--a couple of seconds to complete as they handle the majority of the form for a repeat condition. It's great!

Monthly Cost

Your monthly premium is determined by multiple factors including your pet’s species, gender, breed, age, zip code, and the deductible amount you choose if your policy allows.

Coverage

Depending on your plan, the Trupanion policy pays up to 100% of your vet bill for all eligible expenses. There are unlimited payout limits, always and Trupanion will never increase or cancel your coverage because of claims you submit. Coverage includes new accidents and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions, diagnostic tests, hospital stays, and much more. Trupanion prides itself on paying out more on the dollar than any other provider and has paid out nearly $2 billion in claims to date.

Payout Limits

The Trupanion policy* has no payout limits, so whether your pet needs one quick visit or a lifetime of care, your coverage won’t quit. That can mean a big difference if your pet develops a chronic condition requiring extended care like allergies, diabetes, or even cancer.

Deductible

If your Trupanion policy has a deductible, you can customize it to fit your budget. You can choose from $50 to $1,000 in increments of $5, or choose to have no deductible at all. Trupanion deductibles are per-condition and good for the life of your pet. That means no annual resets-once a deductible is met, you never have to pay the deductible for that condition again.

Age Limits

All new pets can enroll from birth until their 14th birthday. Once your pet is enrolled, they can be enrolled for life

Waiting Period

Waiting periods vary by state. Please see your states policy for full coverage details. However, other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
