Abolutely first class operation, and a god send!!!
We had never had pet insurance before with our previous English Bulldogs, but after one very expensive experience we decided that with the next puppy we would get pet insurance. So we researched several companies and decided on Trupanion. According to their website it appeared they were by far the best: you pick your deductible, they pay 90%, no limits, and unlike other companies they do pay for medical issues that are predisposed to certain breeds. We picked up our baby bulldog on 12/11/10. We had a 30 day waiting period, and then we were covered. Our puppy was coughing a lot and very lethargic starting on 2/14/11. Our vet referred us to a specialist at Tufts and after 5 months of being sick our puppy just had soft palate surgery. It appears he may have been aspirating due to his long soft palate (which is common in this breed). Trupanion to date has paid us over $4500.00. I get emails when they receive the claim, the status, and when its been processed. Payment is prompt. I never have to think about calling to find out where payment is. If I have questions they are pleasant and helpful. I have told every
