Coverage for Cancer
We decided to insure Jack as a puppy never dreaming that our beloved dog would be diagnosed with histiocystic sarcoma which eventually resulted in the loss of the joy of our life on January 12, 2020. Jack first presented with a limp which eventually led to the amputation of his right front leg, chemotherapy sessions and medications in attempt to treat his cancer. We could not have provided this treatment without Trupanion. They were with us the whole way with unwavering claims support that was provided very quickly. I do not know how much was paid for Jack's treatment but would guess it was between $15,000 and $20,000. Although we are heartbroken at the loss of Jack we feel like we did everything to try to treat his deadly disease and got to spend an additional six months of quality time with him that we could not have experienced without Trupanion's help. We would recommend that anyone thinking of raising a dog get insurance through Trupanion. We never thought we would ever need the help for the catastrophic cancer that took Jack's life. We would be happy to reimburse Trupanion for what they paid to treat Jack if they could return him. That is not going to happen but we are grateful that we got health coverage for Jack. Thanks again. Tim Wilson and Sarah Emmons.
