Spot is committed to helping pets lead longer, healthier lives by providing pet health insurance with best-in-breed service and high-quality coverage.  This is especially important at a time when vet care is becoming more expensive each year. Spot’s focus is to provide pet owners with the tools to help create a world of healthier pets and happier owners. Our pets are part of our pack, and it’s important to treat them with the same respect as our human family. A big part of that is to provide proper healthcare for our furry friends and enable a healthy lifestyle for pet families at both ends of the leash. With the costs of today’s pet care, having Spot in your corner is helpful for your pet’s health and wellness needs. Spot policies help cover a wide range of covered conditions such as accidents, illnesses, medications, diagnostics, exams for covered conditions, and treatment—even alternative therapies. Spot also provides preventative plans, which include dental cleanings, vaccinations, flea prevention and more for a little extra cost! Spot wants pet parents to worry less and play more with their furry family. Discover the peace of mind of having Spot Pet Insurance.

GO ELSEWHERE - falsely labeling issues as pre existing

There’s so many insurance companies - GO elsewhere. I made the mistake of choosing Spot insurance. My first mistake was my dad who has been a veterinarian for 30+ years had never heard of it. He then gave me a list of other reputable companies to trust. Unfortunately I chose to go with Spot as they had sponsored ads and a low premium. I also made the mistake of thinking I probably would not need it. I signed up and after the waiting period I ended up having to take out kitten to the emergency room as her body had an allergic reaction and become entirely inflamed and covered in open wounds. I was referred to a specialist in which we are still in the process of diagnosing the exact concern. Spot immediately declined all claims stating this is pre existing as prior to the full body reaction her spay incision had become infected and they are saying because of that they will not cover her claims for any of her issues. I am currently in the appeal process and will update this review as we get more answers from spot, however, as of now I am extremely dissatisfied and would warn anyone of signing up with them.

Best thing I ever did for my cat

I have the $250 annual deductible, 80% reimbursement, $3000 limit plan for my two indoor cats. One has never needed to go to the vet for anything other than her yearly check-up. The other has had a myriad of accidents from eating string, to vomiting blood for absolutely no reason (we found out he was just sick and must have vomited repeatedly while we were away at work) and every time, Spot insurance has been there to help reimburse our very expensive kitty’s medical bills. This is a huge relief for us because you just never know when that little rascal is going to have another strange accident! I highly recommend Spot insurance because they work quickly to process claims, they contact you via email when they need additional info and have reimbursed the majority of my kitty’s vet bills. I really couldn’t be happier with their service.
