My furry friend was enrolled with…

My furry friend was enrolled with Accident and Illness plan for almost two years. After she was treated for an illness recently by the local vetanerian I filed for insurance of the $600 bill. Upon inquiry of the coverage they told me they needed a full record of my pets wellness records, which the veternian furnished to them. Again I called to see what benefits I would collect after the $250 deductible and still they put me off by saying they needed more information about the meds used for treatment which was clearly itemized in the bill furnished to them already, as if it was not necessary. Always a reason not to process the claim. Two years of premimuns for $0. Stay away from this company.

I am so glad I got accident insurance when I did.

I got accident insurance because I've heard of dogs getting attacked in dog parks. My 150 lb puppy is a 15 month old Armenia Gampr and very playful and very timid. He could get seriously hurt by an aggressive dog. Instead he was tied to a heavy metal table by a well meaning friend. He got spooked and ran with the heavy table bouncing behind him. He tried to get away from the table but it broke his femur. There was a kind vet who saw him immediately and xrayed him. She referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. He got surgery within 24 hours. It was repairable via minimally invasive surgery and he was walking the next day. If I didn't have the insurance it would have been a very difficult decision to make. With the deductible plus 20% I'll pay out $2500 instead of the 9k of would have cost. Spot reimbursed me within 48 hours of submitting my claim. I'm thinking of increasing the coverage and deductible. Spot was so easy to work with and their response time was very fast. I'm so glad I chose Spot.
