Exceptional Service

I submitted a claim, part of the bill was covered expenses and part of it was a routine checkup which should not have been covered. Pumpkin sent me a check for more than my claim, explaining that one additional fee was actually covered. Who does that? I was very pleased.

Must have for pet owners

Pumpkin is prompt with payments and responds quickly to all inquiries. They don’t look for ways to deny coverage. Great Company!

I have been with Pumpkin Insurance for…

I have been with Pumpkin Insurance for almost 2 years. My dog Simon unfortunately, has experienced stomach digestive issues that required medical attention with one trip to the emergency vet. Pumpkin insurance was there for us all the time!. They are very responsive and fair with their insurance coverage. In addition, they are very prompt in evaluating claims and payments. Their customer service is awesome! I would highly recommended Pumpkin Insurance. I wish I knew about them sooner!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
