Sign up was easy
Sign up was easy and cute, peppered with pet turns of phrase. I hope that when we need to use the insurance it is just as easy.

Quick and easy
I got my insurance a little late and because of that i thought the insurance wouldnt be able to reimburse me but they did! They did it the next day and i was able to get my money back. I do wish they offered a bit more than just 1 wellness exam but im happy i have good coverage.

Great Help
Pumpkin helped make much needed oral surgery possible for our little 12-year old kitty, Motor Mouth. since her teeth now fel better she has gained 1/2 pound. We wouldn't have been able to afford her surgery without Pumpkin Pet Insurance. Very responsive people and a quick turn around from presentation of our invoice and receiving a check. Thanks! Pumpkin is always there to answer questions and quick to issue payments. Very satisfied.
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
