I chose Pumpkin in order to be prepared…
I chose Pumpkin in order to be prepared in case Maggie, my 7 year old Great Dane/ Bull Mastiff becomes ill, as I am pretty sure she will eventually. Pumpkin layed out the costs and benefits clearly for me to make an informed decision. My coverage takes effect tomorrow and I am glad I have the coverage in case something bad happens.

First Pet Coverage
First time purchase of pet insurance for a new puppy and all went well on the purchase. Haven’t used it yet so if and when I ever do, that’s when I will know exactly how good the company is. Hopefully I choose the best Company.

Pumpkin is by far the best pet insurance
Pumpkin is by far the best pet insurance plan I researched and I researched more than 20 plans. The staff is so accommodating and it is so easy to make claims. Very excited to have both of my fur babies covered by this plan!
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
