Taking money without providing services
They allow you to sign up online but you can only do monthly billing that way which comes with an extra monthly charge of $2/month. They say to call if you want to pay for the year to avoid the fee. After signing up, I called to pay for the year but was told I would still have to pay the extra fee for the first month because I did the sign up online. Pretty awful way to get $2 extra dollars out of everyone. Also, your term starts right away meaning you are already paying for coverage but they don’t offer coverage for 15 days. I get the waiting period for people who might wait to insure their pet until there is a problem but don’t charge for the period when you won’t provide coverage. Even the waiting period seems unfair when the dog is brand new to you. I insured my dog the day I got her but still have to wait 15 days and given she is a puppy, already have lots of vet expenses that won’t be reimbursed. Just feels like they are after every possible way to get money out of their customers without providing any service to do it. Really bad first experience with them.
