Avoid Prudent Pet Insurance at all costs. After multiple denied claims—many without valid reason—I tried reaching out in a respectful, constructive manner, only to receive dismissive, borderline sarcastic responses. It feels like their claims team is trained to deny as much as possible, regardless of merit.
The final straw? They confused my pets’ medical histories, attributing ear and skin issues to the wrong one, then told me not to bother contacting my vet because “it wouldn’t matter.” That’s unacceptable. I’ve since reported them to my state’s Insurance Commissioner, filed a complaint with the BBB, and will be initiating a credit card chargeback.
They also denied coverage for a routine fecal exam clearly listed in my Wellness plan—and then claimed I had a lower-tier plan, even though I’ve been paying for the medium level all along.
At this point, I’d rather put $100/month into a savings account for future vet bills than keep paying premiums to a company that doesn’t deliver on its promises.
