Will absolutely go with them again next time

There is a review from me for Pets Plus Us from 12/13/2014 where I raved about them. We recently lost our cat, Mia, after a brutal 9 months of treatment for lymphoma. And again, I can't say enough good things about this company. They cheerfully went above and beyond in all our payments (and we racked up nearly $13,000 in payouts from them, so this is no small thing), and then following the final payment (which came with a touching message), our client rep picked up the phone to call to personally express her condolences. Without a doubt, this is a special company, with actual humans who get invested in your pet right along with you and who actually give a damn when you lose that pet. When we're ready, we'll be getting another cat. Likely sooner rather than later because part of Mia's legacy to us is the joy of being a cat owner. We miss her dearly and the house is just too quiet and too empty without her. We won't replace her, that's just not possible because she's irreplaceable, but we will add to our pet owner experience with a new animal. And when we do, it will be with Pets Plus Us again, because I wouldn't do it without them.

Outstanding Service

We are so thankful for Pets Plus Us insurance. When our dog, Ginger started vomiting and not eating we knew something was wrong immediately. A visit to our veterinarian warranted x rays, ultrasound and finally surgery. Unknown to us, our sweet, little mischievous year old Terrier cross ate one of our daughter's rubber bouncy balls. The ball was stuck in her stomach and had to be surgically removed. Every step of the way Pets Plus Us was their for us, even when we had to bring her for weekend care at our 24 hour emergency hospital. Not at any time did we have to make any other decisions besides doing the best for Ginger. Our claim was easily submitted on line, and our return was deposited back into our account within the week. No questions, no hassles. So very thankful we have Pets Plus Us Insurance, and I would highly recommend them!

Happy Customer

I am a veterinary assistant and have used Pet Secure for my dog in the past. After three incidences of them attempting to withdraw money from my account too early, resulting in expensive NSF fees from my bank, and their unwillingness to correct or even acknowledge the mistake I decided to switch to Pets+Us after meeting our local rep in clinic. I had never had to make a claim thankfully with Pet Secure so I cant personally attest to their process but I have had to with Pets+Us. I received an email just a few days later to say the money had been put in my account. They actually overpaid me by about $100.00. I called to ask them about it and was told I would get a call back. I did and the woman said in a nutshell, "Merry Christmas, our mistake". I was concerned about getting dinged for it later, which hasnt happened. Just a couple days later i filed a small claim for some extra pain medication and antibiotics for my dog, expecting I would get nothing back due to the over payment. Two days later, more money showed up in my account. Very happy customer!

Renewed Faith in Pet Insurance!

Our Dog Oakley, a 7 month old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, was starting to show signs of what appeared to be a some type of sinus infection. He had a yellow/greenish discharge coming from his nose and was wheezing heavily. Of course it happened over a weekend so we decided to take him into a 24hr Vet hospital and it was a good thing we did because his nose started bleeding when we arrived at the emergency clinic. After chest x-rays, a complete blood work up and several other tests they were able to confirm he had a upper respiratory infection which luckily had not yet moved into his lungs or evolved into pneumonia. Oakley was given medication and sent home with instructions to rest. Thankfully we had just insured Oakley 2 months prior when we first got him. I was reluctant having had Pet Insurance through a different carrier on a previous dog that was a terrible experience. But upon our Vet's recommendation, I did some research (including this site) and decided to try again with Pets+Us... Best decision ever, they not only approved the entire claim (less the standard deductible & CoPay) but they paid it out into my bank account within the week. Having the reassurance of being covered makes experiences like this much less stressful in making decisions. Excellent company to deal with!
