Pets Plus Us | Pet Insurance Review

Have filed 1 claim over 4 times and made a least 5 plus phones. Call Center employees work off scripts and always end call on a positive. However nothing was ever fixed still out money for 2 vet visits. The money we spent in premiums could have gone towards getting my pet better but it just went to these crooks. Cancelled and stopped payment as of November 1st. This was after one last frustrating call with Joe on Oct 24, oh by the way Joe still waiting for your call back on the next day. Would not recommend this product to my worst enemy. Save your money in a jar, it would have more value. I will also be speaking to my Vet and request he remove all brochures from his practice. Also starting a social media awareness campaign so others aren't screwed like us!

Pet Plus US has been fantastic since the very beginning for our 2 bulldogs. Our bullies have had a number of medical emergencies, including a knee replacement with rehabilitation and Pet Plus US has never given us any difficulty with any of our claims. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for pet insurance.

This was the first time submitting a claim since our insurance moved over from Presidents Choice. The CSR was helpful, answered all my questions and the emails arrived as promised. Within a few days we received a cheque to assist with the pet care costs.

After a doggie lifetime with PC pet insurance this has so far been a very bad experience. It’s like we travel back in time and no easy access to information, claims or payment options. During the transfer, without consulting us, they chose to merge payments for two different dogs that was paid separate by seperate accounts. They chose to use my credit card for the obvious reasons they probably could not automatically increase a automatic transfer from the bank account. When I called and asked why this was done the answer “our systems do not allow separate policy per dog unless you cancel current and start from scratch” - right with a 15 year old dog that would be pointless will all the “pre-conditions” they will assign him. So we we manage the payments between two families for the two dogs as our “systems” seems to be more flexible. Then first claim - a refill of pain killers - vet automatically does this for us. And I get an email saying “not complete as missing all medical records” ?? My dogs every medical record has been submitted through PC - are they lost?? And the only way to off course clarify is a wait on the phone to speak to someone that probably will say “sorry I can’t hel our systems need all that again” - I know, I’m assuming and I shouldn’t so will make the call. But all in all - I had a great experience with PC as you should when you are going through difficult times (usually the case if you need to lean on insurance) - this company does not understand what the customers need and need to catch up with technology to make it easier to work together during these times.
