Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

We have a 5-year-old boxer that has severe allergies. The vet deemed her "not compatible with Earth." Thankfully we got Pets Best Health Insurance set up before we even brought her home as a puppy. They have covered everything they are supposed to cover for her without any issues. She recently had a cyst removed and has had a few major issues in recovery and once again, they are covering everything but the deductible and copayment. We've had zero problems in 5 years and are so thankful to have them.

Emma has now had 3 surgeries for removal of malignant masses. She is otherwise in good health, but the cancer recurs. Pets Best has promptly paid for every procedure at 90%. The latest claim was paid in less than a week! Pets Best IS the best, most reliable pet insurance company.

I purchased this plan through my employee benefits package at work. My cat had blood in her stool so we took her to the vet to be tested for Giardia and other parasites. After taking her to the vet, a claim was promptly submitted. The insurance was highly unresponsive. After what seemed a long time, I received an email from pets best stating that my claim process was delayed but with no specifics. They said nothing was needed on my part or they would reach out. Rather than finish the process, I received another email stating there was a delay and still nothing needed. A few days ago, I received an email stating the claim was denied because they didn't get info from my vet. So some guy in an office emailed and called a few times before throwing their hands up and giving up. That is unprofessional, and I will be looking into choosing another provider.

This was my first claim and the whole process was quick and easy. My vet emailed me the receipt from my dogs appointment so I was able to load the bill into the Pets Best system and they confirmed my request immediately and 4 days later I was sent the amount of what they were paying me and it went directly to my bank account.

Constantly messing up payment info. Claim is taking forever to get reimbursed.
