Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

I have 2 dogs and a cat, my son has 2 Dogs. All are insured by Pets Best. Years ago I had a very prominent vet surgeon recommend Pets Best, he told me its the only insurance company that truly gives good coverage for pets. My dog ( and best friend), Grisham has had various medical issues and having this insurance has saved his life. For this, I am eternally grateful to your company. I am an RN working in hospitals for 25 + years and wish that people could have the quality health insurance that your company provides! Thank you for everything.

I decided to try Pets Best for my new puppy after my vet recommended them to me. 3 days after I signed up my puppy broke his arm! I was so stressed out because I knew it was going to cost me a lot of money. When I called Pets Best they reassured me that everything was going to be ok and that I had gotten a really great plan that became effective that same day for accidental. I felt like I was talking to the vet after hearing how concerned the woman sounded. I did not feel like I was talking to an insurance company. The vet did indeed recommend surgery. I set it for the next day and submitted a pre authorization paperwork to PetsBest. Within an HOUR they had a response for me and had approved reimbursement for the surgery. A couple days later I submitted the claim with the final bill and they deposited the money into my account within a few days. They also followed up with me over the phone to make sure I understood everything that was happening. Great customer service and so easy to use the web portal. So happy!

I had several questions to ask about a claim that we had already submitted. Kendra was very nice and helped with all my questions. I thought of another question several hours later, called back, and luckily, I got Kendra again. She remembered me and my dog's illness and helped me with my other questions. She was very sweet!!!

Lucia had not been eating which prompted her visit the vet. Her liver enzymes were elevated 10 fold, and x rays showed no abnormality to explain it. She was referred to a specialist who performed an ultrasound and more bloodwork and gave medications to support her liver function. As of this week, she has officially been discharged from the specialist as her liver enzymes are stabilized after three months of not being on medications. This was a scary ordeal for me and my Lucia, and we are both VERY happy to have had PetsBest behind us and to be 100% healthy again. It is still unexplained as to what caused the liver elevations, which is the hardest part of this but we are relieved for it to be over.
