Highly Recommended Insurance

My little dog "Lola" apparently ate something very toxic left on the ground at an RV campground last week - Lola started vomitingun-controllably and became very lethargic and refused to eat or drink any water - I immediately took Lola to a 24 HR emergency vet hospital where the DR immediately put Lola on a constant 24 Hr IV needle and kept the dog under close observation + repeated blood tests for over 5 days in the hospital - this hospital + this DR literally saved my dog's life - Lola is back home with us once again and appears to be perfectly normal - had it not been for PetsBest insurance coverage I would have been faced with the awful decision of putting Lola down due to not being able to afford the tremendous cost of saving her - PetsBest has reimbursed me 80% of a hospital bill well over $1,000.00 - need I say any more ?

Great service and great plans

We lost our doxie tragically and because we didn't have the money the first day and looked for other options. We looked into pet insurance the following month when we adopted our Gus. We have had Pets Best ever since. We have the middle plan and used to have the wellness plan attached. Did not find the wellness plan as beneficial as the regular. We have used our pet insurance several times including when our basset hound ate some carpet and had to have emergency care, during which they noticed he had bladder chrystals and he had surgery for that covered by Pets Best and now our Gus had a growth on his elbow which was treated for almost a year. The growth was removed and biopsied and it was cancerous. Gus had a 2nd surgery and it was all covered. The fact that you only have to pay the deductible and then they cover 80% is better than some health insurance for humans. When they started direct deposit I thought I'd gone to heaven lol. I recommend Pets Best to all my friends and coworkers. As long as you follow the claim procedure everything goes smooth, quick, and friendly. Also, the feeling of not having to freak out and hear like we did that will be $7000 or we can put her to sleep. We are free to worry about our pets in tough times not all about the money.

Excellent Service

I had to take my dog Lucy in to the ER on Sunday for a foxtail that she had lodged up her nose. I submitted the claim for her on Monday morning, June 11, via fax and within 5 min. I received a confirmation via e-mail that they had received the claim and would process. The very next day, June 12, I received another e-mail stating that my claim had been processed and that my reimbursement was on the way to me via mail. I am extremely impressed with the service I received on my claim. Great job.

Beware

I have had Pet's Best insurance for about a year now. My 7 year old cat recently started urinating outside of the box, which is unusual for her. I took her to my vet who wanted to rule out medical conditions, such as diabetes, urinary tract infections, etc. We did some lab and some radiographs. Turned out to be strictly behavioral due to some changes in the household. I submitted my claim to Pet's Best, but was denied due to the condition being behavioral. I understand they dont cover behavioral conditions, however, we were trying to make sure she didnt have a medical condition. Maybe next time ill have my vet just lie and say its something so i can get reimbursed. Not very happy

Switching back to VPI

my friend raved about pets best, but I have had no luck with them at all. I'm switching back to VPI. yes on paper PetsBest seems great, but they nickel and dime you at every corner possible, and they're so difficult to get $ back from. You have to write almost an essay for everything the dog needs, and so far, even though I've had the basic procedures that are "supposed" to be covered under my plan, they find a loophole to not pay me. VPI never did that, and it was so easy, I just faxed them my reciept, and VPI would send me a check. So far my pup and i purchased the most expensive plan too, out of the $400 I submitted, I only got $10 back, saying they will only cover the fecal test. I would not recommend them, This is what I get for swtiching and trying to save a couple bucks.
