Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

Our 8 year old Westie started having balance issues one evening, so we rushed him to the emergency vet. He was kept over night and the following day he was sent to the neurologist for an MRI and potentially some other tests. He ended up having an inner ear infection and with some medication he is doing great. This was our first experience with Pet insurance and our first claim with Pet's Best. My wife and I could not have been happier. The process for filing a claim was simple and the check (minus the deductable) was in our hands within a week.

I have filed 2 claims with Pets Best, and they were for the same dog! She is normally healthy, and has never had problems except for these 2 incidents. Both times they processed my claims quickly and efficiently, and when I spoke to them on the phone regarding a separate issue they were extremely helpful. They reimbursed me ~$88 on a $220 bill, and ~$1800 on a ~$2300 bill. Good deal, and it definitely gives me peace of mind where my babies are concerned. So, to summarize: Great customer service, easy to understand reimbursements, and very affordable. Thanks!

I am a veterinarian and my own kitty was recently treated for hyperthyroidism (too much thyroid hormone produced by an overactive thyroid gland). I submitted my claim and, in less than two weeks, I was reimbursed just as promised by my policy; no questions asked, no wild goose chases looking through medical records for an excuse not to provide reimbursement. I have great faith in this company and no reluctance recommending PetsBest to my clients.

I posted a review about Pets Best on 9-9-10, but all of it wasn't listed. Part 2 - I began to see the importance of having insurance after Hannah became ill in December 2009 and was diagnosed with Immune Anemia/Thrombocytopenia. I was not prepared for the severity that this illness could cause. Since December I have filed 23 claims for Hannah's illness and Pets Best has paid 80% every single time. In my eyes they have extended Hannah's life. I would have had to euthanize her because I wouldn't have been able to afford her medical payments on my own. Through all of this Hannah has not given up. She still wakes up every morning and is ready to eat, she likes to bark for a treat, ride in the car, play Hunt & Find, and watch her Nana cook in the kitchen.
