Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

My claim was denied and I am obviously beyond upset about that alone but more importantly it took them forever to process any claim and I had to contact them to remind them to process my final claim just for them to deny it. When I called to discuss it, the rep told me vaccinatable diseases are not covered, we aren't even 100% sure that's what was going on with my poor cat. Then the woman had the nerve to tell me that maybe of I had given my INDOOR ONLY cat the Feline Leukemia vaccine he would still be alive. Completely heartless and out of line.

On June 14 I submitted the first set of claims for my dog Cody's recently diagnosed IMHA. I woke up this morning to 3 different claim approval emails approved/processed for Direct Deposit. There are others not yet processed, but the biggest ones are being reimbursed as I type this review. I'm impressed with the speed with which they were processed this time around. The last time I needed to use this policy was in 2014. If I recall correctly, it took about a month for those two claims to be processed and paid. This time around, an 8 day processing time for MUCH, MUCH bigger claims and no requests for additional information were made! I've read thru some of the other reviews on another site, I take most with a grain of salt as many of those review writers did not seem to read the fine print before subscribing to Pets Best Insurance as their provider. I haven't ever seen a pet policy that allows for coverage of pre-existing conditions or that will cover illnesses within a few days of obtaining the policy. If they did, what's to stop customers from buying insurance at the first sign of illness, then waiting a couple of days to take them to the Vet just because they think they now have coverage. To me, those people are either not too bright or they're just trying to game the system. My recent experience with Pets Best has been seamless. Submit bills, add an explanation and discharge papers from the vet and things are processed/paid in a timely fashion. Submit incomplete paperwork and/or try to claim something that is explicitly excluded in your policy and it's denied. It's that simple. Reading for comprehension goes a looonnnnggg way toward utilizing these policies as they are intended. It sucks that my dog will have ongoing medical expenses for the rest of his life, but i'm happy to have this policy with Pets Best to help me thru the bills.

We owned our pet 4 years before I knew insurance was offered for pets. We had not had any major issues but we Love Milo and would go to the bank if we needed to save his life. Insurance made perfect sense to us, why not. We were all insured and he should be too.We are so thankful for being informed of Pets Best Insurance. Approximately 6 months after purchasing our policy Milo had 3 emergency surgeries for bladder stones and complications from a Ruptured bladder. Milo is part of our family and to see him go through this was deviating to say the least. Having Pets Best Insurance on Milo did relieve some of the financial stress from the situation. Our claims were handled in a professional and very timely manner. Such a Blessing for our family.💗 🐶🐾💙

My 10 yr old has been with Pets Best for over 9 years. Over the years Pets Best has been there for us to support the various health issues that have arisen. When Quinn had to have surgery to have his spleen (and malignant mass) removed,I did not hesitate for 1 second to o.k. the estimated $3,ooo surgery, knowing that Pets Best would, once again, be there for us. Their customer service staff is fantastic.

I recently put in 2 claims for my golden retriever pups office visits ( one to diagnose the problem, and one to follow up a week later. I submitted the claims when I got home on the computer. It was easy to do as I could scan the bill from the vet and my payment stub. The form was easy and quick. The turn around time was quick as well.
