Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

I opened this policy for my cat Milkshake almost a year ago. She had been to the vet to get shots and annual check ups. I wanted to have this policy on hand incase she ever needed it. I've spent $21.59 a month. I recently submitted a claim because of an ulcer on her eye. The claim took 30 days to be resolved l. It was denied because our vet thinks she has herpes virus. Not proven or tested. I had never gotten reimbursed for any of her medical expenses. Essentially I wasted $300. My advice is to open a savings account for your pet. These policies will find any reason to not help your animal.

I have been with PetsBest for Onyx my Pug for many years.Thankfully he has remained in good health; and I think the last time with the exception of March 8, and the week after I had to use insurance was over 5+ years ago. I am Thankful that I have it, but found the process a little more time consuming them from years ago. All and All the CS team called the Emergency Hospital, and explained about an itemized bill when I lost patience with them; only to have to go back the week after, and them ( the hospital) finally getting the point about the bill. Anyway that was excellent CS service, which I am Thankful for. Lastly as Onyx turns 10 in August; I have to weigh my options for which plan I can afford , with what deductible......

We have 4 dogs. We used to be very happy with this insurance plan. At last renewal, our premiums literally doubled and every claim is denied. What they classify as wellness vs. illness is interesting to say the least. The claim process has considerably (underline this word) slowed. And the website does not allow you to update or add to a claim. It gives you the tabs, but they don't work. I have tried numerous times. Pets Best will be losing our business when the policy comes up for renewal. There are many other companies out there with much better coverage.

I would never be without this insurance. Each time I had to use it, they handled it very smoothly. My cat has digestive issues and pancrease issues and without this insurance, I don't know what i would do. This is a must have.

I believe i have one of your top policies. I pay over $400 a month for my two dogs. One of them had to have 9 dental extractions as well as a general dental cleaning. I paid the veterinarian over $900 for this procedure. My claim paid me $100. I do not understand why dental extractions were not covered for a larger amount.I am very angry about the results of the claim process. I have had my policy for my two dogs with you for over 8 years and have always been satisfied until now.I have referred other pet owners to you and have told my veterinarian I thought you company was great. Now I am rethinking all of that.
