My 11 year old Terrier fractured several teeth chewing on bones. I took her to a veterinary dentist (specialist) rather than regular GP because of her age. He safely extracted the two broken teeth and also found another broken tooth that I had forgotten about, it happened several years ago when she was hit by a car. He took that one out too. I had the specialty hospital file the claim and the payment went directly to them . PetsBest paid everything I could have expected on a $2800 claim, leaving me with the deductible, copay and office visit charge -- all fees that I had chosen to be my responsibility when choosing my plan. Payment was swift and painless. I recommend pet insurance to all pet owners; I wouldnt be without it."

First time using this company. Submitted $1500 claim (included an optional gastropexy and spay) for my new puppy and they only paid $185. I understand they have to make a profit, but I'm not sure if it is more cost effective to save your premiums in an investment account than to have pet insurance.
