Our Terrier Mix, Kelley Anne, was diagnosed with Menangiosarcoma and given a short time to live. They recommended a splenectomy to add another 6 months to her life. She came through the operation by VCA, Norwalk, CT, very well and is now enjoying a good lifestyle. We know that this will not be a permanent fix but at least we still have our wonderful pet with us. Four years ago, a little Siamese was found wandering the streets in a local Long Island community. Knowing that I was partial to Siamese, a local rescue group asked me to "foster" her. You can guess how temporary that turned out to be. A sweeter, more fearless, more cuddly little girl I had yet to find. She stepped into the very large pawprints left by the loss of my 17 year old Bluepoint Siamese. Then suddenly, tragically, she was gone, the victim of a 100% fatal illness called FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Although I had heard of this disease, I had never encountered it in my decades of cat ownership, believing that it was limited to hoarders, shelters or stray cat populations. I've since learned that thousands of seemingly healthy cats, some from breeders, others not, have fallen prey to this courge. In the blink of an eye, less than three weeks, the eager-eating, in-your-face, social butterfly was a ravaged shell. I helped her to cross the Rainbow Bridge a week ago. I've had pet insurance for years on all of my pets, hoping that I would never have anything catastrohic enough to use it. I would like to thank Petsbest for making reimbursement of my vet bills nearly seamless. Within a day of filing a claim, I received an acknowledgment and notification of process; within a week of filing each claim, I had a check in the mail. I have 2 greyhounds that play hard and love running. Recently one received a dog bite from another dog. I went to the vet, of course it was on a Sunday, he had some stitches and is fine. The bill totaled $545. Today I found out that Pets Best Insurance is sending me $410 (my bill minus 10% and my $100 deductible). Best Pets offers an accident only insurance for a few dollars a month. What a deal and what a company. I recommend without hesitation.

Second time using Pets Best for a claim for our dog Madison. First time to remove an eye because of a disease and currently for Lymphoma, surgery and chemo. The claim process is so easy and the turn around time to get reimbursed is outstanding. The customer service people are so nice, helpful, compassionate and great to work with. I insured my cat last year and I am so glad I did. They have been timely on claims and very helpful. They are very upfront with what their policies cover and don't cover. A lot of people that have issues are not reading their policy very carefully. I thought my policy rates were going to increase a lot since i have used them for all my cats inhalers which are expensive and it only went up 0.63 a month so I know they don't increase your rates based on the number of claims filed. I will recommend them to everyone and I will always insure all my future pets with them.
