Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

We had switched from TruPanion to Petsbest when we moved to FL, because they offered lower premiums and mostly the same type of coverage. We made 1 claim since we joined PetsBest, and it was declined because according to them, they were unable to get the Vet record from our previous Vet in NJ. We called the vet ourselves and got the records in a few minutes! We then sent the records to PetsBest and after a couple of days they claimed they did not receive them and that they also needed the doctor's notes. Again we had to call the Vet ourselves, doing their job for them. After this, the claim was still denied, because they said they needed additional information from the vet in FL! We canceled the policy and went back to Trupanion. 10/11/18 update: In response to the reply below. It is simply inconceivable that the records that PetsBest was "unable" to get from the previous Vet, we got ourselves in a 5min call. Additionally, every time we provided the requested documents ( again, doing their job for them) an additional set of documents was requested in order to process the claim. It just seems that the company just wanted to deny the claim no matter what we did. In the end, we provided everything they requested, said that they would continue to process the claim regardless of our cancellation, and when I called today (after 3 months) to get an update, they provided the same response of not being able to process the claim due to not being able to receive all the documents. Again, would not recommend ever!!

Pets Best Insurance is easy to submit, and their turn around time is quick...if it is something that isn't covered by your policy, it's easy to look up and they are available for questions or concerns. I would recommend it! 5 stars !

Pickles suffers from seasonal skin allergies. During both Spring and Fall she has flare ups which require treatment from her veterinarian. The process for reimbursement of her expenses couldn't be better. So very pleased with Pets Best!!

The ability to file a claim without using snail mail. My Blackie cat's RX claim filing is a snap. Mahalo.
