Increased premium

My second year into my dog's insurance and the premium already went up. If it continues to go up every year then the premium rate will put insurance out of reach for him just when he will need it the most. Same problem with auto and home insurance :(

Takes a long time to fax paperwork

The only problem I have is it takes for ever to fax the paper work. I keep getting error messages. And after 4-5 tries it goes through.

Happy with reimbursement

I had a recent vet bill and was happy that I was reimbursed for the amount stated in the policy. I needed this since I have 3 cats and would not want to incur all the costs if not for having this insurance, I would have had to pay the full amount without reimbursement, I am glad I decided to buy this years ago.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
