Easy claims, fast payment!

I recently switched from another pet insurance provider to Pets Best and am so glad I did. Claims are super easy to submit, and they pay very quickly, unlike other provider. No issues at all. I also like that they have the option of full coverage with wellcare, no wellcare, or a lesser coverage of wellcare. The latter suits my needs and I'm very happy with the service and coverage.

They pay the benefits as advertised

I've had several pets insured with Pets Best and they pay the benefits as advertised. They are lately taking longer to process claims and pay them, but it is well worth it for me and my pets. We have the accident/illness coverage and have found that is a better value for us than the plans with routine care.

RUN! RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Where do I start? If I could give less than 1 star I would. Well, my experience with this company was fine as long as I was paying my monthly dues and had no claims. I’ve had nothing but problems this year with them and denying claim after claim. I found out they needed medical records from my dogs past vet visits. We’ve taken our dog to numerous vets to try to figure out his issues. We got on the track of food allergies and did extensive testing for this. The current vet put him on a special food so it won’t trigger his immune system (this is what the vet told us). Ok, that problem solved. He did fine on that food until he got an infection and was put on antibiotics. This was August of this year (2018). He’s been back numerous times for itching, licking, etc. amoungst other non allergy issues. The claims were getting denied left and right. They denied the whole claim, what was thought to be allergy related or not. I finally contacted them and asked what the problem was for these getting denied. They were STILL wanting medical records. I asked them if I needed to go get them and submit them and was told over and over they would get them to just give the name of the vet office and they would take care of the rest. I was told after one phone call what vet records they were missing so I went to the vet and got them myself. When I called to find out who to send them to, they said they had those, they needed another vets records. WHAT?!?!?!? I was beyond frustrated by this. I asked what they needed to get these claims taken care of because this had been going on for 4 months and was unacceptable! They finally informed me that the vets notes pointed toward his allergy problem. I informed them that he had preexisting FOOD allergies and now we were looking at environmental allergies. I asked if they lump them together because in my mind, they are two completely separate issues. They said they are different but the vets notes are too vague. They don’t specify which allergies the vet is talking about. Well, looking at the treatments we’ve been trying, it should be pretty clear we aren’t working on a food allergy. Long story short, still no resolution and now I’m working on appealing this. If you have A LOT of fight in you, go with this company. They will DEFINITELY give you a run for your money (pun intended)!
