Very user friendly

The claims process is very user friendly and I received a prompt response. It would be beneficial if the claim that was mailed listed what my deductible is and what my plan covers.

Always have a great experience

I always have had a great experience with pets best. I am a believer ever since having a dog with serious health issues and pets best took care of him all the way until his passing and now with my new puppy that gets into everything pets best is there too!

Great pet insurance but call before doing procedures

Easy to make claims on line and easy to work with. I was really disappointed that the neutering and dental cleaning was an either/or coverage. Had That been clearer in the policy, I would have done one last year and one this year. I'm pretty upset by the fact that I now have to pay full price for one.

Claims

I was very disappointed by Petsbest. They have so far denied the claim and I am in the appeal process. My dog had an accident causing a significant injury. Petsbest and their veterinarians are arguing this is a illness with significant lack of evidence to prove so. The appeal process has been very frustrating as they have shown poor communication. Specifically, they did not send out the decision for the most recent appeal. I would not recommend Petsbest.

Very satisfied

My pet has many allergies and skin problems. I have been very satisfied with claim processing and communication regarding payment. Easy claim submission.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
