Old dogs' injuries don't count, they're old + response to insurer's reply
When my 7 year old dog jumped off a high bed in the spare bedroom, she injured herself. The vet said it maybe, note maybe, a sign of disc generation. No x-rays were taken, just a maybe. But because maybe the injury was due to disc generation, Pets Best refused to pay out as maybe she would not have injured herself if there was maybe no disc generation. Of course, maybe there is no disc generation and she just jumped off wrong, but they'd rather go with the, maybe the injury would rather go with the option that saves them from paying out. Of course dogs get more frail as they get older, and will get injured easier, it does not make it any less an injury. So be sure to only insure young animals, of course, if they are too young, maybe they wouldn't have gotten hurt if there bones were stronger. You never know.

Firstly, if it is as you say that the reason the claim was not paid out because her injury was not one of the 8 VERY specific types of accidents my dogs have insurance for, then why blame it on possible disc degeneration when you first told me you won't cover the claim?
Secondly, I wish you made the policy as clear cut and simple as your above explanation, then I would not have gotten the mistaken impression that my dogs have insurance against accidental injuries. I realize now that the way it is worded, they are not covered for most of the types of injuries I thought of when purchasing the insurance. But my bad, I should have read the contract better.
Thirdly, don't say you give us peace of mind. My dogs only being covered for 8 types of injuries when there are so many ways they can get injured, does not provide me with peace of mind. I'm opening a saving account where I will deposit the money I would have paid to you and start building that. That way, regardless of the injury, and whether there may be other factors at play or not, they are covered - THAT is peace of mind - just so you know.
