Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

I took my dog into the vet to preemptively check for hip displaysia. She is a rotwiller and german shepard mix. Come to find out she does have it. I filed the claim for the vet exams and a month later Pets Best denied my claim saying that documents from the vet suggested that symptoms had started before the insurance coverage started. This is the first time shes been seen by a vet other than shots and has never definite signs of having it. Hereditary conditions are covered under my insurance policy but there claims forms do not have that as a section so I had to file under illness/injury. Now if i don't fight their decision I could have to put my dog down if she starts showing signs of pain and it incapacitates her because I can't afford the surgery. I can't switch to a different insurance because now I know she has it and it I couldn't get coverage for her condition.

Very Easy to submit claim. No issues or confusion about the process. I am very glad that we have this emergency insurance for our pets. You never know when your dog will get into something they should not be eating.

Pets Best has been wonderful in all aspects. They process claims quickly and pay quickly. I am very grateful that I have the coverage.

The process of filing a claim is very easy and the claims decision is done very quickly and fairly. I would recommend (and have) Pets Best to other pet owners.

I looked at this company for pet insurance because there was an advertisement for plans as low as $6 a month for cats, $9 a month for dogs. I know that "as low as" means there will be a larger price, but it should be a price within reason of the bottom price. I requested a quote for accident and illness for one of my cats, I decided against wellness coverage, and the quote was $58 a month! $58 is a huge increase when compared against the advertisement of "as low as $6 a month". I put in my other cat's information and his was $53 a month. Those are ridiculous quotes for one extremely healthy cat and one cat whose only issue is arthritis.
