Best thing I ever did

Getting insurance was the best thing I did.. Several of my friends did not buy medical insurance for their dogs and were hit with very large vet and hospital bills on several occasions. My dog had a very serious medical condition necessitating surgery and overnight stays at the vet. Pets Best paid almost half of the charges. Claims are paid several days after submission. Very pleased with the customer service by phone or with paying of claims.

I have pet insurance for my GSD Tasha…

I have pet insurance for my GSD Tasha who just turned 5...we got the insurance when she was a puppy...This was my first experience actually using Pets Best, and i was very happy with the experience..Tasha was x-rayed with a torn ACL, and I couldn't believe how quicklywe were reimbursed. My Pomeranian had diabetes half of her…

My Pomeranian had diabetes half of her life and there were many complications associated with the disease. She had many visits to the doctors, surgeries, emergency facilities, take home medicine and etc. Filing a claim was so easy and the turnaround time for the reimbursement was timely. They were very helpful from the initiation of the policy and sympathetic when terminating the policy due to a death of a beloved pet.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
