You pay for nothing useful to be covered

I had the insurance for one month and it was useless. My cat had diarrhea so I took him to the vet. First Pet Partners says they can't help me, my plan doesn't cover worms. I say we don't know what's causing the diarrhea, we don't know if it's worms. Then I get a denial email saying that I wasn't approved because the onset was in the 5 day waiting period of starting the insurance. Which is a lie, the onset date was a week after the waiting period, which I put on the claims form. This insurance was useless, nothing was covered and the general wellness plan is an expensive additional cost. I'm still fighting them to get coverage because they are making up reasons not to reimburse me.

Monthly Cost

$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit Coverage options available for senior pets.

Waiting Period

Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care. Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
