VPI helped gives us more time with our boy!

I've been so happy with VPI since I've enrolled 3 years ago. Their claims process is easy and you can track the progress online and their reimbursement is more than fair. My Rottweiler was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma and had to have a leg amputated. They paid for the entire surgery! I couldnt believe it! He's been accident prone his whole life so this isn't our first claim and they've always been great. I work at a large pet retailer and tell people almost every day to sign up with VPI. I've heard so many disappointing stories about other insurers but I assure you they're the real deal and will be there when you need them most!

Trixie's back surgery

My dachshund Trixie got to where she couldn't walk and we had to carry her to the emergency vet which was over $500.00 and VPI paid all of the bill minus my co-pay of $50.00! She ended up having to be hospitalized for almost a week and VPI paid the $200.00 bill. Unfortunately she ended up having to have back surgery at a cost of $3500.00 which VPI paid minus my $100.00 deductible! Thank God for my VPI insurance. Trixie is doing well and we didn't lose everything to get her that way! The only bad thing for me was having to pay upfront and wait to receive my payment from VPI!

VPI makes it easy

Glad a friend recommended VPI. Great customer service from assisting in selecting the right plan to processing claims in a timely manner for reimbursement. The low monthly plan cost is well worth it when it comes to caring for our dog.

100% recommend

I have had VPI pet insurance for three years. I decided to get it after my puppy spent more time in the vet her first year of life than at home--she had so many skin issues and it cost me so much money. Since then, she hasn't had too many issues with her skin but has had two surgeries, along with her annual appointments. VPI has always received my claim and issued me a check promptly and it's always a sufficient amount. You end up paying a monthly fee for pet insurance but when you go to the vet and your bill is $600 and you get $480 back, it ends up being worth it. I usually break about even but it's a lot easier to swallow than coughing up $600 when you didn't expect to. I think VPI pet insurance is great and would definitely recommend for pet owners!

Thank goodness I have VPI insurance for my Bischon

After a very expensive surgery to remove a bladder stone on my 3 year old Bischon, I started to research pet insurance companies. I checked on VPI and liked what I read. I signed Roxie up in Jan 2014. The bladder stone problem was a pre-existing condition that would not be covered but I figured in case of an accident it would be beneficial to have insurance to fall back on. 2014 was fairly uneventful, she had 2 foot infections (due to excessive licking) and VPI paid well. The monthly cost & what I was reimbursed were a difference of $12. Already in 2015 the insurance has reimbursed me more than the monthly fees will cost me. She was diagnosed with hemmorhagic gastroenteritis - we almost lost her! After several rough days & nights, 2 hospital stays, 3 hydration treatments and numerous medications, she is well again. The vet bill was close to $1,000 and I am very glad to report that VPI paid all but about $150 ($100 was my deductable). My vets office submitted each claim and everything was paid quickly with no questions. Having the insurance makes going to the vet a lot less stressful and so much easier on the pocketbook
