Pet Insurance Coverage

I had heard about various pet insurances but I wanted to get one with a well known company with a trusted reputation, so I chose Nationwide. I’m glad I did. Nationwide provides great pet insurance and my dog is very happy

Nationwide has been great in helping me with, and processing my claim very efficiently. I am extremely happy with the service and coverage that Nationwide provides for my dog, Bailey. It provides great peace of mind. I am very impressed with this company.

Quick & Reliable,

It's nice knowing that I have insurance on my pet. I had never thought of this before until my breeder suggested it. How wonderful to know that he is insured, just like my children, and his routine care & even emergency medical is covered! Nationwide makes it easy with online access, online claim forms & you can even submit your claims online as well as keep track of the status! Our next pet will definitely have this and I do recommend it to others.

Prompt, helpful and reassuring service

I have delighted with the ease of filing for reimbursement, that my policy coverage was better than expected, and when I called the Vet hotline - they were both helpful and reassuring. Absolutely recommend - good value and great service

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
