Nationwide is a must-have product for pet lovers

Our cat recently began to have seizures, and then developed a very rare reaction to the seizure medications that caused his immune system to collapse. He became septic and was hospitalized. Between the cost of getting him to a veterinary neurologist to diagnose the seizures (which included an MRI) and the cost of his multiple hospital stays, his vet bills amounted to over $8,000. I have health problems myself and can only work part time, and my husband is an x-ray tech, so we don't have that kind of money. We put his bills on Care Credit and hoped that Nationwide would reimburse us promptly because even the minimum monthly payments would have been a financial burden for us. As promised, Nationwide reimbursed us 90% of the vet bills, direct deposited into our bank account within two weeks of us emailing them the claims. They never tried to deny any part of the claims or request mountains of paperwork and vet records before they processed the claim. Having this coverage saved us financially and I tell everyone who has pets about it.

Fast claim service

I particularly enjoy VitusVet. Snapping a photo or two & submitting the claim beats having to fax the information. A transformative change.

Paw pad injury (glass shard in pad)

I give a poor review as the insurance did not cover the entire injury as it should have. The Vet did not catch this on the 1st xray and the injury lasted for almost 2 months. The second time a round a different view xray revealed the glass shard deep in his paw pad. Instead of covering the surgery 100% I got a DENIAL OF BENEFITS. for part of the claim (about 190 some bucks). If this would have been spotted in the 1st surgery, and teken out then It would have been ~no questions asked~ and the entire surgery covered.

Best pet insurance EVER

I have been immensely impressed with my dog pet insurance. What is most impressive is that all the things that the plan says they cover they actually cover and reimburse you 90% of the cost. The submission process is simple and I received my reimbursement checks within a few weeks. I am very satisfied with this insurance plan it is well worth the cost especially during my puppy's first year. We intend to continue the insurance through his life I hope they don't change the plan! It is by far the best plan since it covers nearly everything.
