Happy Dog, Happy Home

I was hesitant about purchasing pet insurance at first as I have never had it before. Knowing our baby girl was going to need to be fixed we figured it would cover the cost and any unknown issue's that may arise with our girl. The cost is affordable and certainly will protect us if any emergency shall arise such as surgery, cancer etc. Peace of mind paying little every month to cover a potential large expense.

I made a right choice

I had never thought my little golden would go through 3 major problems in his first 18 months with us. Each case would cost us $3000 if we don't have the Nationwide pet insurance to help to cover majority of it. We took very good care of the puppy, but you just never know what can happen. My claims have all been processed timely and professionally. I do feel peace in mind with my little golden knowing Nationwide is always behind us.

So far pleased with Nationwide's pet insurance

To date I am very pleased with the Nationwide plan. I would have given a 10 ... but the claim process is fairly slow.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
