Very helpfull to have Nationwide Insurance
I decided to enroll my new dog with Nationwide, because we did not had insurance for our previous dog and the cost of the veterinaries were very expensive. Even he was always under a vet care I honestly think if he had insurance he may had better medical treatments. Nationwide had the best deal and coverage for pet insurance.
I got the major plan for my dog. At the beginning nothing was covered even if I paid a little more monthly for a $100.00 deductible. I was about to cancel the insurance, but I talked to a couple of Nationwide customer service agents and they explained me most of the cost I submitted were for wellness services and they were not covered by a Major Plan. Then I adopted another dog and I got also insurance for her, in this case I got the Whole Pet with Wellness Plan for her as a recommendation for a Nationwide Insurance Agent, because she needs to be spay and as I adopted her she may need vaccines and wellness visit. I submitted all my claims and after the deductible being cover I have been receiving back 90% of my bills. We moved to another State and we needed to get a new vet. I took my dog for her first wellness visit after having the insurance and the doctor discovered she had a condition in her leg and needed to do some X-rays, I received the 90% of the bill.
I consider the Whole Pet with Wellness Plan has a better coverage than the Major Medical Plan. I may get this plan for my other dog at the renewal.
I don’t write reviews, but after my dog last visit to the Vet and Nationwide covering the 90%, they sent me an email asking me how my dog was doing. I think that was very nice of them so they deserve a good review.
