Will never be without it

We had never used my pet insurance and because my furbabies had always been healthy and they had reach the age the premium was increasing a little more than I was comfortable with, I almost cancelled my insurance. Decided to keep it one final year. My oldest furbaby developed Lymphoma. Because we had MetLife we were able to get the best treatment possible for her and as of today she is still in remission. I learned my lesson. We will never be without insurance for them. MetLife as been wonderful through it all, reimbursements, claim processing and even renewal.

Terrible

I would not recommend MetLife pet insurance to my worst enemy. The lack of customer service follow through and loopholes to avoid paying a claim is disrespectful. Paying over $900 on premiums and $500 in deductibles and they deny a claim for $160. I would suggest going with a company that requires a pre-existing condition physical so you know what they expect upfront.

Claims were covered!

Peanut had a bite and needed extra care including surgery to repair his wound. Met Life covered all of it. Decisions were made quickly and I received a check in a timely. I thought the premiums were reasonable given what I was receiving. I did my homework and checked out other companies. Met Life offered me exactly what I needed for Peanut. Great experience so far!

Their email and chat options are definitely working. It is hard to believe such a big insurance company has poor customer service and no upper management is paying attention to this. Does that consider an insurance fraud? It does take a long time for them to process your claims to compare with other pet insurance companies. I guess if you want a better service, you just need to pay more for it.
