I submitted two related claims that keep getting put on hold...
I submitted two claims: the first for blood test, the second a week later for the procedure. All I get is delay tactics...the want the medical records, which the vet and I both sent...the records were all encompassing for both related procedures. I was told via email all was received and now the first claim is back on hold "for medical records". My frustration level is hitting the roof.
I have been so happy with Met Life. It's easy to submit a claim and it is processed quickly. The emails from them explain the payment and how the claim was processed. I got this insurance when I adopted a 13 year old kitty from the shelter in March 2020. She developed a lot of issues and needed daily medications. I just had to put her to sleep the 2nd of January. A very sad day. I received a beautiful card from Met Life. They are very caring staff. I can't say enough good things about them.

MetLife pet insurance are big scam and…
MetLife pet insurance are big scam and crooks , my dog had a claim for bacterial infection and they denied claim giving excuse that it’s preexisting condition ( which is a big lie) because when I appealed the claim the VET gave a letter explaining its not preexisting condition and dog was not treated for anything similar within last 12 months so it’s not considered as preexisting condition but they took over 45 days and still denied it , this business are sucking money out of the pet owners . We buy pet insurance for our pets to get timely emergency treatment and make sure they taken care of but these insurance companies making us suffer by not paying back the genuine claims and what the pet deserves.
There should be a lawsuit against them and the government should take action against such scammers , willing to file class action lawsuit .I will not recommend them to anyone. Very disappointing because I was in impression that they are good company but they proved me wrong.Very horrible customer service because they don’t know anything about the claims submitted and ignored my invoice. They are full of baloney … SO BEWARE
You replied to my Trustpilot post requesting contact information.
I sent it two days ago,
No contact yet.
In spite of my request from the “adjuster” I have had no return contact from her either.
Your customer service is the WORST EVER and your financial responsibility dodge is the pits.
You shouldn’t be in this business.
ADDENDUM: I just received confirmation of a claim approval consistent with the policy coverage I paid for. What is still sad is having to go through a lot of grief to get it done correctly and timely. I thank Kaitlin Casper for a successful intercession. Let's ow long it takes to get the check.
Typical insurance dodge.
As a former Assistant General counsel for a major Insurance company and a retired attorney, with a long happy prior number of relationships with Met Life I am appalled at what passes for claims adjusting and underwriting.
Unfortunately after acquiring my Champion Italian Greyhound from a reputable breeder it broke its Ulna and Radius. Fortunatley, on advice of the breeder I had obtained pet indurance and selected Met Life Pet Insurance as the carrier. IN classic denial fashion my claims for surgery costs and gollow ups for the injury were denied for no REASON. The adjuster, Allison Faulkner, has got to be the most obtusew adjuster on the planet. She couldn't even get facts correct. Everything reasonably required was submitted and she even denied that. The company is so sheltered, it has been impossible to get the General Counsel's number so I can provide the courtesy of notification of a potential lawsuit, not just for appropriate reimbursement but for fraud in the inducement and fraud in the factum. On the web one of their quotes state: “Jan 20, 2023You can take your dog to any licensed veterinarian, pay the bill, and send it to us for reimbursement — we'll process your claim in less than 2 weeks. 4 Policies are subject to some exclusions, but getting a pet insurance plan can still save you thousands each year.” The first claim was submitted in the first two weeks of November and the denial letter was just received on Jan. 23. They are just denying to wear me out and I will not tolerate it. I'd like to solicit for the other disgruntled policy buyers for a class action if possible. The on-line system is so bad it couldn't even coonect my information to a policy, and then it cut me off every time I tried to log on. This is a huge, IMHO, fraudulent MICKEY MOUSE operatoin trading on what used to be the reputable name of Met Life.
